Homemade Teeth Whitener

If you want whiter teeth, this is for you! Our teeth are one of the most important aspects of our face. People constantly see your teeth, whether you are speaking to them, or eating, laughing, or even smiling. Your teeth are always out there for the world to see. The last thing you want, is for someone to snap an unexpected picture of you, and your teeth don't look their best. Taking care of your teeth is an important part of daily hygiene, and should be taking very seriously. I always tell my daughter, "you only have these teeth, unless you want to live your life with dentures, you better take care of the ones you have!"

I think my teeth are naturally pretty white...due to good genes, thanks mom! But as I get older I notice the brightness starting to fade. I am not a big coffee or soda drinker, and I try to take care of my teeth as best a possible. I've looked up many of the whiting strips that are on the market, but there are too many mixed reviews. I have tried using over the counter toothpaste specifically for whiting teeth, and I've not seen a vast improvement. So I figured let's try something natural.

*This method should be used 2-4 times per month

What you will need...

1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
1 Drop Mint Extract
4 Drops Hydrogen Peroxide, 3%

Directions...
1. Make sure you have thoroughly brushed your teeth first.
2. Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl, until it turns to a paste
3. Apply to your toothbrush, brush for 60 seconds
4. Rinse out your mouth.

*Disclaimer - If you are a smoker, frequent coffee, tea, dark wine or dark pop user, these put a coating of stain on the teeth and the abrasive in the baking soda removes the stain but will not change the natural color of your teeth. This also goes for any OTC toothpastes that contain baking soda or claim to whiten. Not suggesting not to use just beware.

SOUND OFF... Do you whiten your teeth? If so, how do you do it? Holla at me in the comments below. I'd love to hear from you!
