Hey love's, Happy Sunday!

Yay! It's the moment we've all been waiting for! Cleaning our makeup brushes! This just might be the worst chore I've ever had to do in the history of life! Yet it is one of the most important. Granted, I love more then anything to put makeup on, BUT we can't use dirty brushes!

Using dirty brushes is not only unsanitary, it also does not apply your makeup as flawless as you'd like! You know we all want a flawless face BEAT to the Gawds hunny, YASSS! But that can't happen with your dirty brushes girlfriend! So first step to flawlessness is using clean brushes!

Why should you clean your brushes?

How often should you clean your brushes?

What you will need
  1. Baby Shampoo (Any Brand)
  2. Rubber Gloves (Optional)

How to clean your brushes

*Using gloves for this process not only keeps your hands from getting gross and wrinkly, it also helps get the makeup out of the brushes faster.
  1. Wet your brush with warm water. Make sure you get your bristles completely wet
  2. Pour a few drops of the Baby Shampoo into the palm of your hand.
  3. Gently in an upward motion work up a lather on your brush. You should see the makeup, dirt, and oils coming out in this step.
  4. Rinse the brush thoroughly removing all makeup and soap, using warm water. DO NOT get water above the shaft or metal part, this could cause rust which will cause the bristles to fall out.
  5. Gently squeeze out any excess water. reform brush back to it's shape.
  6. Hang your brushes over a ledge to dry so air can circulate through out the brush. DO NOT stand your brushes up, water will run back into the handle causing bacteria to grow. This could also cause your brush to smell.
  7. Allow them to dry for 6-8 hours.
  8. Put them on display!

Extra Tips

*Do not forget to clean the handles of your brushes. Once they are dry, pour rubbing alcohol onto a paper towel and wipe the handles of your brushes. You want to keep the handles sanitized as well! Most of us do not think about this step, but it is just as important.

*We all want to keep the number and names on our brushes for as long as possible. To do so place clear nail polish over any names or numbers, to keep brushes looking new and fabulous.

*Don't forget to clean your makeup bag! No sense in spending all that time cleaning and sanitizing your brushes to put them in a dirty bag. Use a paper towel and a light all purpose cleaner to wipe the inside of the bag.

You are all set! Don't forget no matter how lazy you are feeling it is important to clean your brushes! Cheer's to cleaner brushes, clearer skin, and flawless makeup!
